The grapes in my hand I behold,
“Like time, they grow’st old!”
And in the willow the winds call,
In time, life will soon take us all!
The best part of life is like wine,
Aging is fermented by God’s time;
But you know, in my hand I know
The secrets of growing old:
“The aging of wine - it’s so find,
Growing old we shouldn’t mind” -
This earthly vessel holds our soul,
But in the good book we are told:
“Gray hair is a crown of splendor,
Like grapes we’ll have to surrender.”

In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait in expectation.
