My family and I just want to thank everyone for their concern and condolences. I have personally replied to each person who left a comment on this thread to show my gratitude.

After searching my heart I have that I would like to begin moving on now and continue to remember my father privately. So, I am closing this thread, not because I don't want anymore comforting words from my friends, but rather to avoid the subject unexpectedly popping up in chat weeks or months later when someone decides to post in it at a time when I have put the subject behind me.

Dear 2562

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Losing a parent is never an easy thing to go through.
I have lost both and still miss them and always will...because they raised me and loved me unconditionally
and I was most blessed by God to have them. While dealing with their passings...a family friend gave me
a little prayer (of sorts) that really help me with my loss:
Let God gather together what he has planted in His garden
He takes nothing out of season

I pray you are given much comfort from our heavenly Father above in knowing your father is in his care
and that graces are bestowed upon you & your family during this difficult time.

p.s. Your last paragraph was most profoundly stated....capturing the true essence of God's Plan and His
son's sacrifice for our redemption.

You know 2562bce, the day is assuredly arising over the horizon when we Believers will be commanding people back from the dead as effortlessly as Jesus did and admonished us TO do, no matter the circumstances of health or accident. We have crossed that timeline bridge into God's Kingdom Age, and we are NOW privy to begin tasting IN GREAT STRIDES, the powers of the world (the Millenial Age) to come! (Hebrews 6:5)

Nevertheless, your father was ready to go, and it sounds as if he went peaceably...the BEST way to leave this broken world, IMO. Even if someone called him back from the dead, after tasting the joys and delights of Heaven and succumbing to the irrestible love of Jesus and The Father, your father would very likely have come back swinging and demanding of the one who called him back to this realm, 'WHAT.WERE.YOU.THINKING??!!'

Right now your father is in his youth again, and he's NEVER looked and felt so good! He's NEVER been so happy, praise God! He.is.Home! You can rejoice and be glad for him, even in your sadness and grief, and learn all you can about Heaven. More and more people ARE having experiences of being taken there to visit in the Spirit than ever before! And observe your sleeping dreams about your father: What is he doing? What does he say to you?

Your father was openly welcomed by the biblical Abraham at the Entrance Gate into Heaven, a large, brimming-with-smiles and twinkling eyes, barrel-chested man who was MORE than delighted to meet the acquaintance your father!

And when your father encountered Jesus in Heaven...WHOAAAA!!! At some early point, Jesus steps completely INTO those who arrive in Heaven to stay. A complete merger process occurs for some moments, and He turns around and looks through their eyes, and all those last vestiges of brokenness and darkness accrued from life on earth are given a clean and final sweep from their souls. More than ever, your father's life HAS ONLY BEGUN, praise God!!

May you and your family be blessed, covered, and protected during this fragile and sensitive time in your lives.

My father died on the golf course. Same type of heart problem. I know he is available, in my heart, to overcome anytime I ask.

It was sudden and way too young. We cannot determine.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I Lost both of my parents within 5 months of each other. Father had cancer and Mom had a catostrophic cardiac event. Been there and done that and I can tell you I know what "That really sucks" means. It does and even though it was many years ago I think of them often.

2562, yes I am sure you are correct in that many of us have walked down the road you are now walking down. It is not an easy path, even when you know that it is coming. This was your father, the only one that could ever fill that role. I am sorry that you are having this journey, but God may be letting you have this pain in your life so you can better be able to help someone else later. He prepares us in this manner for events that only He can see & know about.

Wrap your arms around your mom and give her a big hug, and help her get through these days where the love of her life on this planet has preceded her to see our God. And know that all of us here that have walked down the similar journey are sending feelings of care and concern for you and your family your way.

Im sadden to hear about your loss as I am in the same situation, my mom is in hospice care and, we are aware she will not be with us too much longer. You think you are prepare and than on some days you realize you are not ready. I am sure your father is celebrating and rejoicing in Heaven with his new body.

Father, I feel vulnerable and weak. I know You are my refuge and strength, you are my help in trouble. I call upon Your name, Lord. Hold on to me. Lord comfort the family as they walk through this sad time.

May you and your family be wrapped up in the love and light of God's embrace. I lost my Dad almost 4 years ago, and, as you know, even when you have prepared yourself to expect the inevitable conclusion, the loss of ones Father is still such a hard and heavy blow. I miss mine terribly every day. My Mom, who married him when she was barely 18, is remaking her way in the world as an independent, single gal, holds fast to the great memories of a fun, funny and loving husband, and God's unceasing love to get her through each day. Take comfort in his love. Blessings and Prayers.

brought comfort at the passing of my Mother last year was:
