Heavenly Father, your word says" the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord". We are all here by Devine appointment. While the circumstances we find ourselves in individually and collectively are changing , we focus on You and your word as final authority for our lives and direction. We walk in peace that passes all understanding. " The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous".
We now stand ready to serve and bring about the final stage of Your plan. We look to you Sir for guidance and wisdom knowing the our individual jobs will fold perfectly into the BIG picture. And we commit to you today that we will not act like "toothless crackheads" with this Blessing. With praise and thanksgiving in Jesus Name.
It was very humbling to be a part of the call yesterday (tue). if you haven't had a chance to listen please do. I have known for a long time that the responsibility of having more money than i could spend in 2 life times was going to take Gods wisdom in order to handle. I know too, that when God blesses you, it is so you can be a blessing. Blessed to be a Blessing. If a river doesn't have an outlet, a destination, it becomes stagnant. Always FLOW with God. I hope that you will stop , find your quiet place, and allow the Holy Spirit to show you how big this picture is, what your part is in it and how to move step by step with Him.
There has never been a better time to be steadfast in our beliefs. We are all here for one thing. Money. That can be a good thing or .....not. If you look around this site, I think you will conclude that it is a good thing. So lets stay with that...
Things are going to change around you. That's a given. The way you react to those changes is important. That's the purpose of the prayer.. Be steadfast in God. Be stedfaSt in the Word. Don't be moved by the circumstances around you. Remain calm and CLEAR headed.
All is well. God has called us to this place at this time. And who He calls, He equips. The tools you need to do your part are on the way. Seek wisdom. Know what He wants of you. And don't hesitate or look back.
The path we are on is clear. It is straight. It is narrow.
It is easy to become distracted by sideshows, carnivals and even everyday life events.
One day Peter was watching Jesus and some of the other disciples....Jesus had been teaching them what to do when He was no longer with them....Peter asked Jesus." What about this man, what will his job be in the kingdom?" Jesus upbraided him for sticking his nose where it didn't belong. He said to Peter " If I want him to live til I return, what is that to you?" Then Jesus said something to Peter that we can take heed of today...Jesus said " Peter, you follow me" .
If you don't think coming into more wealth than you have ever dreamed of will be a distraction? I courage you to think again...
Stay focused, remain calm, and don't make snap decisions. I believe God is bringing this financial blessing into each of our lives for a reason.... We just need to remember that it is His reason and He will direct our paths. Focus.
Wise words, Hilltop! And a good reminder about the directing force behind our upcoming abundance. As the Monkeys sang once, "I'm a Believer"... but my all time favorite song to God is, "Stand by Me". Together, Divinely, I believe we will be directed if we "focus" and pay attention.
And yet we wait. My prayer is that we have all taken the time since this first posted to stay grounded and to have grown spiritually. Along with how to keep and grow this new wealth. No one knows just how long before we have to act on what we know ...or don't know.... Make it a priority, before you do much of anything with your money, to put together a really good team of legal and financial advisors. This team will not be temporary, but something you should maintain for the duration. Team members my come and go, but keep the team. They should know God and see him in their personal lives. That will flow into their professional lives. and yours.
Just know that all the things you want and need will become clear when you make what God wants FIRST PLACE. "seek first the Kingdom of God andante His righteousness and He will add all these THINGS unto you.... " He wants you to have things and be comfortable and enjoy your new life. He also wants to be number ONE.
You can spend it too fast. so don't get in a hurry and know that when you do, you are just being obedient.
Perhaps one day our paths will cross and we can remember these times...
you can find me sitting on a grand porch somewhere in the world. (probably Texas)

LUCY IN THE SKY....... you are so correct in what you say.
Having been in the ministry (pastoring) I too have seen similar instances as you describe and been a part of picking up the pieces of broken lives.
There is a magnificent truth to the power of the WORD and the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives. I witnessed error food thru the body with the faith teaching. The error was when believers did not take the WHOLE word and only part of it.
I was sitting with an evangelist one day talking and told him I felt the Lord was calling me to ministry. I had been in powerful meeting and seen God do wonderful things and wanted to be a part of it all...
This evangelist looked me straight in the eye and said. " don't do it!" He said... "the Bible says that if you don't feed your family , then you are worse than an infidel, and if God is really calling you then you better be ready to work. In fact be ready to work and do ministry together" and grow into what God wants for you. There are way too many people jumping off into the ministry that are not prepared properly and they are failing left and right. Did God call them? probably. But they didn't wait for HIS timing." Elisha followed Elijah til the anointing (mantel) was on him".
those words that he spoke to me that day were not really what i wanted to hear.... but were what i needed to hear..
yes. simply put there is a practical side in following God and his plan for you.
It seems to me that you have found your strength in God even tho you went thru what you did. I believe things like that can be avoided, yet many fall prey to what seems to be the easy way."God will make it happen" and we don't walk it out...."study to show your self approved unto GOD , a workman that can rightly divide the word of truth"....
There is more to being 'called' than just opening a church door and saying 'lets get started' ...
there is an enemy, and he is subtle and wily as a fox... and he walks among us....
So we put on the whole armor of God each day and go about GODs business.. defeating the enemy when he exposes himself.
learning to be wise, is not the same as a 'word of wisdom'. being wise is learned, and will carry you thru a life time. a 'word of wisdom ' will very often get you thru a tight spot.
we should strive for true wisdom and understanding as you state at the beginning... Prov 4:7
God bless you always... We are victorious. ( and being victorious, implies there was a battle in order to have victory!!! )
